TASTE OF THE STADIUM

How It Started

If they could purchase a set reasonably priced and just fold it out, easily build it themselves and fill it with their food, they would use it and love it!

What started as an invitation ended up an invention! A Super Bowl party and an idea. This is how the Taste of the Stadium came to be a practical party item.

Sports fans were creating these incredibly cool food creations made to look like stadiums for their party center piece. Teams of little sausages playing small carrots usually on a ‘field’ of seven layer dip. People really liked these things. They had on-line contests! Some were the size of a car. If they could purchase a set reasonably priced and just fold it out, easily build it themselves and fill it with their food, they would use it and love it! It would be the talk of their party.

Our team (of two) started designing them so more people could easily and affordably have these cool party trays. Certain features were important. It needed to fit on a dining table, picnic table or a tailgate and be made of a dense, food-safe cardboard. It needed to be bio-degradable so you could keep it, recycle it, or throw it away. And it needed really good art. It has really good art.

Mock-ups were built, designers were hired, a prototype was perfected, lawyers were hired, corporate papers were filed, and patent claims were registered.  And, the Taste of the Stadium was born.

DETAILS: Once assembled, the stadium measures 31" X 35". The 'field' holds a 13" X 9" X 2" pan or standard 1/4 sheet cake. The corners hold traditional sized deli or dip containers, both round or square. The ‘stands’ hold a regular sized loaf pan. All materials and printing are food-safe allowing chips, cookies or any other food items to be placed directly in the stadium. In most cases, wipe it down with a damp cloth and use it again.
